Barracks Road Shopping Center is less than 2 miles from the community. You will find a variety of shopping options, including Kroger, Harris Teeter, Barnes and Noble, Michaels, CVS, Anne Taylor, Hallmark, Origins, Jos. A Banks, Chico's, Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, Rebecca's Natural Foods and Bed Bath and Beyond. Fashion Square Mall is less than 5 miles from the community. There you will find national department stores such as Sears, Belk and J C Penney's as well as many other national specialty retailers. Fashion Square Mall has a food court and Red Robin for a more traditional eating option. Our Downtown pedestrian mall is also a short drive. There you will find many locally owned shopping and dining options as well as an outdoor concert venue. The downtown mall also has outdoor vendors, weather permitting. If you are looking for local produce and hand made goods visit City Market, downtown in the Water Street parking lot, Saturday mornings through October. |

| Barracks West is pet friendly. We allow two pets per unit, weighing no more than 100 pounds. Contact our office for breed restrictions. All pets must be listed on the application. Current residents must receive approval from Barracks West management prior to bringing a pet home. There is a one time pet fee of $150 per pet. Currently, we do not charge any pet rent monthly. | ||||||

The heat, hot water and cooking are supplied by gas. If you are used to a heat pump you will notice the air feels warmer as it comes out of your vents. You pay your electricity directly to Dominion Power (888-667-3000). Please have the power placed in your name prior to your move in date. Gas, water, sewage and trash fees are paid to the community each month in a flat rate. |

| Yes, provided that the location of your patio or balcony allows reception. There is a $150 deposit required. Proof of liability insurance is also required. |
